ADMISSIONS PROCESS

Having trouble keeping track of procedures during the admissions process? Use this simple list to help stay organized and on top of things. You can find printable forms here.

Admissions Checklist for Incoming Freshmen

1. Application for Admission

Complete the application by printing form and mailing

Be sure to read all questions carefully and look below for additional items you must submit.

2. Application Fee
Submit your application fee of $20.00 using either check, money order or eCashier. Do not mail cash with your application. This is a non-refundable one time fee. International students must submit a $45.00 application fee.

3. High School Transcript - Transcript Request Form
Request an official copy of your current high school transcript to be sent to Mid-Continent University Office of Admissions. If you have already graduated, simply request that your final transcript be sent.

4. Test Scores
Submit official ACT or SAT test scores. Often these test scores may be included on your official high school transcript. Check with your high school guidance counselor to be sure all scores from all tests are sent with your transcript.

5. Reference Letter - Click Here
Please submit one personal reference letter as designated below. Suggestions are below of appropriate reference/recommendation persons.

Pastor/Minister/Government Official. This reference letter should speak to your involvement in church or civic activities as well as your characteristics of leadership and college preparedness.
General Reference. This reference letter should be submitted by a non-family member, such as a teacher, principal, community leader, etc. who has known you for at least two years and can give reference to your general character.

6. Essay
Please respond to the following question: In your own words, describe why you are choosing to attend a Christian college and what you wish to receive from a Christian education.

You may mail this along with your application or if you choose the online application there is a space at the bottom to submit your essay. Please limit your response to 500 words or less.

7. Housing/Residential Life Information (If living on campus)
Complete and submit the information requested for a housing reservation. All items must be returned before a room and roommate will be assigned.

Admissions Checklist for Transfer Students
Transfer students are required to submit all items listed above as well as:

College transcripts - Transcript Request Form
Request official transcripts to be sent from all colleges attended even if no credit was earned or grades received. If you have completed less than 12 hours, we will also require your high school transcript. If you have completed more than 12 hours, no high school transcripts are required.

Transfer students must obtain this form and send it to the college or university you most recently attended. Directions on the form request that it be completed in your behalf verifying good social standing.

Admissions Checklist for International Students
International students are required to submit all items listed above. There are other requirements that vary from country to country.
