Stephen Douglas Wilson was born near Harrodsburg, Kentucky. A first generation college graduate, he eventually was awarded a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D.—all from the university of Kentucky.  In graduate school he majored in history and has written a book on the historical Jesus entitled In the Fullness of Time.  He has also published numerous articles in his field and has been a college professor since 1983.  In 2002 he was named as the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Mid-Continent.  Two years later he took over his present duties as the Vice-President of Academic Affairs.
